Thank you everyone for your recommendations of Cafes and eating joints in the comments below. It will be of great help to people who are visiting for the first time. I couldn't have tried all of them because of appetite and time limitation of course. But I look forward to coming back soon for more! 🙂

Honestly your Meghalaya video is very bleak. There are so many waterfalls in Meghalaya which you should check out. If you want I can DM you some pictures and give you some info on it.

The Lamington is actually an Australian cake — it's essentially cubes of spongy vanilla cake, dipped in a chocolate frosting, and rolled in coconut flakes/shavings.

Why in heavens' sake you didn't try their brew made from rice – ka-kiat? Also, their raw supari in pan which gives a diabolical kick. The trip seemed a bit hurried. Cherrapunji has opened up with caving or pot-holing and with Dawki gives you a bird's eye view of Sylhet in Bangla Desh. Just a few months before June, you would have been thrilled to see trees in full bloom with white or pink flowers. They weave good baskets and items made from cane. One better visit once the monsoons are over or before they start. Yeah, the place has a Scottish feel about it.
